As I was searching for the entrants in this year's Pittsburgh combo I was stunned and saddened to read that PVGP founder, and longtime ELVA owner/racer, Alan Patterson has passed away.

Alan raced a Mk.III at Sebring in 1958, bought and ran a front-engine formula junior in 1959-60 (which he still campaigns) along with a red Mk.IV sportracer, all along the northeast.
Alan is said to have a collection of Elvi, every model that he raced.
Our condolences to his family at this time of loss, but also celebrating his influence on vintage racing in Pittsburgh.

Sad but also happy that he had a full live and promoted one of the best Vintage races in country.
